1Up Victoria Single Parent Resource Centre is a registered charitable organization that has been committed to serving the varied and changing needs of single parent families in the Greater Victoria area since 1978. They provide practical support, opportunities for growth and a sense of hope to single parent families across Greater Victoria.

1Up's purpose has always been to assist and support single parents in their task of raising a family alone; to assist in increasing single parents’ self-worth, self-confidence, and self-reliance by providing a central facility where they can meet, develop friendships, and share experiences with other single parents and their families; learn of, and use community resources; and find counselling, programs and workshops related to their needs. The team at 1Up are committed to continually responding and growing their services to meet the ever evolving needs of single parent families in the region.

1Up's Programs & Services

Everything the 1Up Single Parent Resource Centre provide is free which is pivotal to lone parent families in the region. 1Up provides a variety of programs including Moms and Mentors and Dads with Dads Support Services, Parent Coaching, and Counselling as well as several parenting courses including: Understanding Anger & Stress, Healthy Boundaries, and Mindful Parenting. In addition, 1UP also runs a series of registered programs including Holiday Hampers, Back2School (supplies) and their ongoing Market Day, Birthday Program, clothing room, and high school bursaries.

For every 1Up BCause Box ordered, we'll donate 5% towards their Grocery Program.
