Young people are more likely to grow up successfully when they experience developmental relationships with important people in their lives. Developmental relationships are close connections through which young people discover who they are, cultivate abilities to shape their own lives, and learn how to engage with and contribute to the world around them. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria's (BBBSV) goal is to enable life-changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential of young people.

To enable life-changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential of young people. Mentored youth have the confidence and support they need to grow into whoever they dream of being.

Big Brothers Big Sisters's Programs & Services

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria (BBBSV) support youth mentoring through four types of programs:

1. Community Mentoring - connects young people with volunteer mentors to spend time with them in the community once per week.

2. In-School Mentoring - connects elementary school students with teen or adult volunteer mentors to spend time with them at school once per week.

3. B You: Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds - is an inclusive group mentoring program for female-identifying and gender-diverse youth, ages 9 to 15.

4. Big Steps to Success is a one-on-one mentoring program for children and youth, ages 7 to 14, who are living in government care or have a kinship agreement.

Subscribe & Support Big Brothers Big Sisters

For every Big Brothers Big Sisters BCause Box ordered, we'll donate partial proceeds towards their Various Mentor Programs.

All funds raised by the BCause Box program will directly support BBBSV's various programs, including caseworker wages for family screening, risk assessment, orientation, and child safety training. Funds may also support volunteer coordinators who recruit, screen, and train mentors, covering orientation, interviews, reference and criminal checks, and skills assessment.

Your contribution would have a direct and profound impact on the health, well-being, and happiness of young people in our community. With your support, BBBSV can continue to provide the essential guidance and encouragement that local youth need to overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams.
