BCause: Committed to Local, Focused on Fresh

BCause: Committed to Local, Focused on Fresh

At BCause, we have always been champions of all things local. Supporting local growers and producers is at the very heart of what we do—it’s why "BC" is in our name. We have always believed in strengthening our local food systems and our communities while ensuring that every box we deliver gets you the best bang for your buck. We aim to do all of this while only using the best quality produce available.

It should come as no surprise that we are hyper aware of all that is going on with our neighbours to the South. We understand that many are joining the growing movement to eliminate U.S. products from their shopping carts, and we are right there with you. In fact, we have a fun campaign on the horizon that we think you’re going to like. More on that to come.

Supporting local or Canadian whenever possible has always been and will always be our commitment. That being said, we also recognize that we are in the middle of winter meaning when it comes to Canadian produce, we have limited choices. Until our local growing season begins, we must source some produce from outside of Canada to keep our boxes full of fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables.

We will continue to closely watch what is unfolding in the USA and the broader global market and I promise we will continue to source products that align with our values and meet our high standards. Even when we have to look beyond Canada, our focus remains the same—finding the freshest, best-quality options while maintaining the value you expect from us.

We can’t wait for our local growing season to kick off again. As soon as it does, we will be working closely with our favourite Canadian farmers to bring you the best of the best homegrown produce. BCause supporting local isn’t just a tagline for us—it’s a commitment we live by every day.

We are all in this together, and we truly value the trust you place in us. If you have any thoughts, questions, or feedback, we’d love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out at info@shopbcause.ca.

Thank you for being part of our journey and for supporting local alongside us.
