Forbidden Whisky Batch #2 - Shelter Point Distillery (375ml)*
DescriptionShelter Point’s first Single Malt Wheat Whisky release has finally arrived. This whisky is the third different grain whisky that Shelter Point has bottled. Named after their local landmark “Forbidden Plateau”, this small mountain and their whisky are similar as both are shrouded in mystery.
By using wheat as the base, this whisky is truly unique and unlike anything Shelter Point has ever produced. The whisky is double distilled and aged exclusively in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for 5 and a half years. The Forbidden was a small batch (only 667 Bottles) so get yours while you can.
Tasting Notes: The Forbidden whisky is sweet, medicinal and subtle on the nose with dried fruits and hazelnut. The palate is sweet caramel, vanilla and slightly honeyed. The satisfying finish is a delicious combination of slight spiciness, chocolate and mint.

Beach Fire Liqueur - Tofino Distillery (375ml)*
DescriptionOur one and only "Beach Fire" cinnamon spirit is a truly unique product made from our bourbon base, drawing inspiration from some more commonly found cinnamon style products.
This lighter alcohol spirit is distinct, pulling its sweetness from the high corn mash as well as the addition of organic cane sugar, while delivering all the warmth and astringency of real organic cinnamon.
Originally designed to be passed around the bonfire, it also doubles as a flask-filler on the ski hill because it's great as a straight up sipper.
In the winter months it can be added to hot apple cider or hot cocoa and even some hibiscus iced (or not) tea.
It can also be an interesting addition to any tiki-like cocktails with pineapple or orange, however it's versatile enough to be swirled into a white russian, or added to a traditional old fashioned or iced coffee for a hint of cinnamon sweetness.

Vino Miele Limoncello - Esquimalt Vermouth & Aperitifs (500ml)*
DescriptionLemon and honey is a flavour combination that transcends the ages. It’s truly magical. As mead makers and digestif fanatics, combining traditional limoncello techniques and mead was an inevitability. Esquimalt Aperitifs generally only make this recipe at home for friends and family, but over the years it’s become such a staple drink in the maker's house that they figured it was time we made a big batch to share the magic.
Traditionally, limoncello is made by steeping lemon peels in high-proof alcohol and then adding water and sugar. Esquimalt Aperitifs followed the same lemon extraction techniques, but instead of using water, they blended the high-proof lemon peels with their own mead, made from BC blueberry-blossom honey, taking our limoncello to that luxurious next level. Enjoy over ice, whenever the mood strikes.

DescriptionDOUBLE-GOLD MEDAL winner at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
We wanted to create a Dry Vermouth that was perfectly tailored to the best Martini of your life and just darn good on its own over ice.
We're really proud of how this one turned out. Enjoy in a classic 2:1 Martini or perhaps on ice, split 50/50 with tonic water for a lovely light cocktail. We also find ourselves frequently using our Dry Vermouth in cooking instead of white wine. It provides a lovely touch of herbaceousness with a bit of acidity without going over the top.

Our Dry Vermouth follows the French tradition. The ‘off-dry’ profile is critical in balancing out both the additional bitterness from the wormwood and in spirit forward cocktails like a Martini.
Our favourite way to drink this is in a Vermouth & Tonic with Rootside’s Classic Dry Tonic Mix; it’s the unexpected new usual for us at home in the summer!
Dry Vermouth originated in France and is typically clear to a light straw colour, contains fewer botanicals than the Rosso variety, yet has a higher wormwood content and is thus, more bitter. Oddly enough, Dry Vermouth is also typically ‘off-dry’ and contains 3g/100 mL sugar. The term ‘dry’ simply refers to it being dryer than a sweet vermouth. ‘Extra-dry’ is the term applied to Vermouths, typically only made for the N. American market, and are entirely devoid of sugar.

This BC Vermouth is Made in the style of a traditional Italian Rosso Vermouth, but with enough Vancouver Island character to stand on its own. Thirty-two different botanicals are precisely extracted into a continuously aged Solera and then added to our fortified blueberry-blossom mead to create a sweet vermouth tailor made for classic cocktails like a Negroni, Martinez or Manhattan. Frequently enjoyed over ice, perhaps topped with sparkling water.
We uncovered techniques, botanicals and formulas from the great, long-forgotten, 19th-century Vermouth houses of Italy and North America and combined this knowledge with a modern and empirical approach.
Each botanical is extracted completely separately from one another and then blended after extraction - this allows us to accurately dial in the exact desired flavour, regardless of seasonal/regional changes. This extract blend is then continuously aged in a Solera system.
